Flint Construction (Pty) Ltd is a Railway- and Civil Engineering Contractor with expertise on industrial rail systems. Whilst our Head Office is in KwaZulu-Natal, we operate nationally as well as across the border, with major contracts in Zambia, Botswana, Tanzania and Mozambique.
Flint Construction (Pty) Ltd has offices throughout South Africa and is thus well placed to assist in the construction and maintenance of proposed rail sidings from design through to full commissioning.
Our core business includes the following disciplines:
- Construction and maintenance of surface and underground rail systems.
- Flint Construction (Pty) Ltd has equipped numerous incline shafts over the years and are thus au fait with working on incline shafts.
- Suppliers of new and second-hand Perway materials (rails, sleepers, turnouts etc.)
- Welding of rail joints by Thermit and other processes.
- Purchasing and uplifting of redundant rail lines.
- All statutory requirements of the Railway Safety Regulator.
- Full Permit applications from the Railway Safety Regulator.
- Annual Safety Improvement Plans (ASIP) for submission to the Railway Safety Regulator.
- Quarterly Reports for the Railway Safety Regulator.
- Inspection and compilation of asset condition reports.
